2024 HAS work program updated in France

The HAS work program is defined each year according to public health priorities, following a procedure carried out in consultation with the Ministry of Labor, Health and Solidarity, and the National Health Insurance Fund. It also takes into account requests made by professional organizations and user associations. The work program includes current and future evaluations and is updated mid-year.

On April 30, 2024, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) published a decision on the modification of its 2024 work program and updated version of the program.

The list below presents examples of tasks that the HAS will work on in 2024:

  • Clinical guidelines:
    • Organized screening for cervical cancer in HIV and immunocompromised women;
    • Population-based sexually transmitted infection (STI) screening strategies;
    • etc.;
  • New CCAM codes:
    • Excision of a lumbar disc herniation by endoscopic interlaminar or transforaminal approach;
    • Neuronavigated rTMS of the motor cortex for the treatment of refractory neuropathic pain;
    • etc.;
  • New NABM codes:
    • Evaluation of chromosome analysis on a DNA chip (ACPA) in the prenatal context;
    • Dosage of exchangeable copper;
    • etc.
