Vasileios Kontogiannis Joins MTRC as Health Economics Lead

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Vasileios Kontogiannis as Health Economist at MTRC. With over six years of experience in health economics and outcomes research, Mr. Kontogiannis brings a valuable combination of international consultancy acumen and academic rigor to the company’s Health Economics initiatives. 

Vasileios’s career spans roles across globally recognized organizations, including IQVIA, a world leader in healthcare data science; OptimaxAccess, an international consultancy specialising in market access and reimbursement; and Symmetron Limited, a UK-based health economics firm. This diverse experience has equipped Mr. Kontogiannis with deep insight into diverse payer systems, regulatory frameworks, and the complexities of market access across multiple European and global markets. 

As an analyst and consultant, Vasileios has demonstrated a consistent record of increasing responsibility in developing robust evidence for reimbursement and health technology assessment (HTA) submissions. His academic credentials include an MSc in Economic Evaluation in Healthcare from City University of London, an MSc in Public Health Practice from Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh, and a BSc in Nutrition and Dietetics. 

In his new role, Mr. Kontogiannis will be instrumental in driving the advancement of MTRC’s international market access strategy and enhancing the development of robust health economic models to support evidence-based decision-making.
