MTRC is looking for a Senior Market Access Consultant

MTRC has 25 full-time employees and multiple part-time consultants. Our offices are in the UK (HEOR), Spain (Market Access) and Bulgaria (Billing and Contracting). Most of the employees are home-based. MTRC provides support to large Med Tech corporations (80% of the business) and SMEs (20% of the business) in the fields of market access analysis and strategy, Evidence Synthesis, and Health Economics. MTRC provides regular support to 17 out of the top 30 global medical device companies.

We are looking for an experienced person with a general understanding of Market Access and HTA processes in Europe. The complexity of the position at MTRC is that the company operates in 20 European countries and performs projects for different types of medical technologies, for which market access pathways differ significantly: implants, non-invasive devices, medical aids (home use), in-vitro diagnostic tests, health apps, remote monitoring systems etc. 

However, given the complexity of the niche for MTRC, we do not expect candidates to fully meet the requirements for the role. It is expected that the new Senior Manager will have a strong baseline understanding of processes but will quickly get up to speed after internal training and comprehensive onboarding at MTRC. 

This position opens a clear path for directorship level at the company (Market Access or Market Access and HEOR domains) with corresponding benefits. 

The position is home-based (Europe only).

Compensation includes a package of fixed salary, quarterly, and annual bonuses.

Responsibilities include: 

  • Support to the project team in developing deliverables that suit clients’ needs
  • Communication with clients about ongoing and prospective projects
  • Contribution to business development (participation in calls with clients, contribution to commercial proposals)
  • Creation and supervision of content for marketing in the field of market access
  • Leading exploration and research in the new prospective areas for the company
  • Representing MTRC at the meetings with external stakeholders (individual clients, conferences, meetings of the industry associations)

Requirements:

  • Pharmaceutical, medical device, or diagnostic industry, or life science consulting experience in the field of market access, more than 5 years
  • Understanding of the field of market access for medical devices or diagnostics in Europe will be a benefit
  • Knowledge of European languages (other than English) will be a benefit
