Ongoing mini-HTAs in Norway in March 2024
In March 2024, the following ongoing mini-HTA assessments for diagnostic imaging, e-health, endoscopic procedures, IVD, neuromodulation, peripheral vascular, and some other fields are evaluated as a part of a framework for the managed introduction of innovations "New Methods" in Norway:
- Robot-assisted ultrasound on pregnant women;
- User-controlled epilepsy follow-up with patient-reported data;
- Digital psychoeducational treatment program for adults with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder;
- Use of the artificial intelligence application BoneView (by Gleamer) for analysis of diagnostic images in suspected fractures;
- Breathe Better – A digital tool to strengthen the health skills of people with chronic lung disease;
- Endoscopic spine surgery
- Return of intestinal contents in patients with intestinal failure using The Insides System pump;
- DNA methylation of cancer tumors;
- Introduction of a test for the detection of somatic mutations in BRCA 1 and 2 (pilot project under the auspices of NorPreM);
- rTMS as a treatment for refractory long-term pain conditions that do not respond to recommended conventional treatment in the specialist healthcare service;
- Percutaneous, mechanical pulmonary embolectomy for acute pulmonary embolism with the Inari FlowTriever.
