Innovation Committee received 114 project ideas for Innovation Funding in Germany

On May 20, 2022, the Innovation Committee at the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA) reported that 114 project ideas were received for Innovation Funding of the new forms of care.

The project ideas that were received concerned the following topics:

  • Interdisciplinary care offers and appropriate offers in the field of secondary and tertiary prevention for patients with complex care needs: 27;
  • New forms of care to relieve nursing staff: 9;
  • Integration of digital technologies in everyday care: 25;
  • Digitization in the provision of remedies: 9;
  • Social area-related care models, including municipal health-related services of general interest: 9;
  • Strengthening of primary care: 11;
  • Care models for children and youth: 5.

Also, 19 project ideas were received for the open-topic area.

The Innovation Committee is expected to decide which submitted ideas were selected in the fourth quarter of 2022. Those applicants will be invited to prepare a complete application.
