One more health app received reimbursement in Germany
In late October 2020, three more reimbursable health apps were introduced on the Directory of digital health applications (DiGAs) at the Federal Office for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM). These applications can be prescribed by physicians and psychotherapists and will be reimbursed by health insurers.
Now besides Kalmeda, Velibra, Somnio, Vivira, and Zanadio, introduced in October 2020, one more health app is are available at the DiGA Directory.
The Invirto – The therapy against fear (Sympatient GmbH, Germany) is a digital application for the home treatment of agoraphobia, social phobias, and panic disorder. The app is accompanied by virtual reality glasses, provided both for the patients and doctors. Invirto is based on cognitive behavioral therapy with exposure training. The app is available only in German.
The statutory health insurance will fully cover the price of the app, which amounts to €428.40.
