PECAN tariffs for digital medical devices with therapeutic function released in France
On April 25, 2024, the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Solidarity published an Order in the Official Journal of the French Republic setting the tariffs for digital medical devices with therapeutic functions covered within the early digital support (PECAN) scheme. The tariffs for the manufacturer providing the digital medical device with the therapeutic function will include:
- The initial lump sum of €435 billable once for the same patient, for the effective use of the device for up to 3 months;
- A subsequent adjustable lump sum, following the initial one, prorated according to the billing period, based on a monthly package of €38.30.
The maximum amount of financial compensation, composed of the two aforementioned lump sums, is €780 per year per patient.
