The Norwegian Directorate of Health has published updated coding for laboratory services

Norwegian Laboratory Coding (Laboratoriekodeverket) is a national coding system for IVD tests and investigations. Norwegian E-Health manages the national version of the classification together with the laboratory departments and international bodies. Representatives from the laboratories safeguard professional aspects of updates of the coding network.

Ninety-two new codes have been introduced, 1850 codes have been changed, 21 codes will become invalid since March 1, 2018. These codes are valid from the date of publication and must be implemented until March 1, 2018.
