New procedure codes in Finland from February 2025

On January 10, 2025, the Finnish classification of procedures (THL) was updated. Seven procedure codes concerning radiology, diagnostic imaging, and other fields were introduced to come into force on February 1, 2025. Some examples of new procedure codes are provided below:

  • AA5BR PET computed tomography of brain amino acid metabolism;
  • JF2AE Ultrasound examination of the large intestine;
  • XQ847 Photography of moles.
