Belgian Health Care Knowledge Center (KCE) initiated the health services research on facilitators and barriers for e-Health adoption by general practitioners. The project has been started in 2017 and is still ongoing.

In this project, KCE aims to study the possibilities and difficulties for e-Health adoption by general practitioners (GPs) in Belgium. The Belgian e-Health landscape will be described, as well as rates of e-Health utilization among the GPs. The international evidence on barriers and facilitators for GPs will be studied via a systematic literature review. No timelines for the finalization of research are available.
