Giselle Balaciano joins MTRC as Evidence Synthesis Specialist

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Giselle Balaciano as Evidence Synthesis Specialist at MTRC. With nearly 20 years of experience in HTA methodology, clinical guideline development, and systematic reviews, Ms. Balaciano significantly strengthens MTRC’s capabilities in high-impact evidence generation and strategic support for market access and policy decision-making.

Since 2008, she has served as Methodology Advisor to the Argentinian Ministry of Health, leading national health technology assessments and GRADE-based clinical practice guidelines. Her work has directly influenced national healthcare policy and reimbursement decisions at the highest level.

As a trainer with Cochrane Argentina, Ms. Balaciano offers deep expertise in systematic reviews and meta-analysis, aligned with global methodological standards. Her portfolio includes contributions to over 100 systematic reviews and HTA reports, with publications in leading journals such as the Journal of Clinical Epidemiology, PLOS ONE and BMC Cardiovascular Disorders.

This appointment further reinforces MTRC’s position as a trusted partner in delivering rigorous, decision-relevant evidence across therapeutic areas and healthcare systems.
