Belgian INAMI/RIZIV updated the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices

New material codes for a set of equipment for the quantification of collateral ventilation in isolated pulmonary compartments and unidirectional endobronchial valve with placement system were added to the List of reimbursable devices of the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) in February 2020.

New material codes and related conditions of reimbursement have been implemented for the following devices:

Set of equipment for the quantification of collateral ventilation in isolated pulmonary compartments

• The device will be reimbursed with a generic tariff but reimbursed when registered on the nominative list (38001).
• The following material code has been applied:
  • 180773 - 180784 “Set of equipment for the quantification of collateral ventilation in isolated pulmonary compartments used during a diagnostic bronchoscopy” with the tariff of €900.
• There are specific conditions of reimbursement for this technology, provided in paragraph I-§01 of the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices.

Unidirectional endobronchial valve with placement system 

• The device will be reimbursed with a generic tariff but reimbursed when registered on the nominative list (38101).
• The following material code has been applied:
  • 180795 – 180806 “Unidirectional endobronchial valve with placement system” with the tariff of €2,385.
• There are specific conditions of reimbursement for this technology, provided in paragraph I-§02 of the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices.
