Reimbursement summary for angioplasty of arteries of lower extremities

This post presents an extract from our reimbursement analysis for angioplasty of arteries lower extremities using plain and drug-coated balloons (DCBs) for peripheral artery disease in England, France and Germany. Plain balloon angioplasty is reimbursement via DRG solely and DCBs are reimbursement via combination of DRG and add-on reimbursement.

Belgian INAMI/RIZIV updated the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices

New material code for a set of nets for the repair of prolapse (for vaginal placement) was added to the List of reimbursable devices of the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) in January 2020.

New material code and related conditions of reimbursement have been implemented for the following device:

Set of nets for the repair of prolapse (for vaginal placement) 

  • The device will be reimbursed with a generic tariff, without registration on the nominative list
  • The following material code has been applied:
    • 180751 - 180762 “Set of nets for repair of prolapse, for vaginal placement, including placement and anchoring systems, when the conditions of the service are not met 182070-182081” with the tariff of €1;
  • There are specific conditions of reimbursement for this technology, provided in paragraph H-§04 of the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices.
