Reimbursement summary for angioplasty of arteries of lower extremities

This post presents an extract from our reimbursement analysis for angioplasty of arteries lower extremities using plain and drug-coated balloons (DCBs) for peripheral artery disease in England, France and Germany. Plain balloon angioplasty is reimbursement via DRG solely and DCBs are reimbursement via combination of DRG and add-on reimbursement.

Belgian INAMI/RIZIV updated the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices

New material codes for hearing aids were added to the List of reimbursable devices of the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) in August 2019.

New material codes and related conditions of reimbursement have been implemented for the following devices:

Hearing aids:

  • Devices will be reimbursed by individual price (tariff determined individually for each brand name) when registered in the Nominative lists 31101, 31102, 31201 and 31202
  • The following procedure codes have been implemented:
    • 180574 - 180585 “Kit comprising a complete hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation for recipients under the age of eight, with bilateral deafness and impending bilateral ossification” with the tariff of €19,961;
    • 180596 - 180600 “Kit comprising a complete hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients, from their eighth to the eighteenth birthday, with bilateral deafness and impending bilateral ossification” with the tariff of €20,345;
    • 180611 - 180622 “Kit comprising a complete contralateral hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients under the age of eight, with bilateral deafness and impending bilateral ossification” with the tariff of €15,067;
    • 180633 - 180644 “Kit comprising a complete contralateral hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients from their eighth to the eighteenth birthday, with bilateral deafness and impending bilateral ossification” with the tariff of €15,451;
    • 180655 - 180666 “Kit comprising a complete hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients under the age of eight, with auditory neuropathy” with the tariff of €19,961;
    • 180670 - 180681 “Kit comprising a complete hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients, from their eighth to the eighteenth birthday, with auditory neuropathy” with the tariff of €20,345;
    • 180692 - 180703 “Kit comprising a complete contralateral hearing aid (implantable and non-implantable parts) for multielectrode intracochlear electrical stimulation, for recipients under the age of eight, with auditory neuropathy” with the tariff of €15,067.
