Applications for ‘Subsidy scheme for promising care’ in the Netherlands opened until September 22
The ‘subsidy scheme for promising care’ aims to speed up the access to potentially promising care through by including the method in the basic package of services temporarily. Before the application can be made, a project idea must be submitted.
The scheme has existed since 2019 and is implemented by the Dutch Health Care Institute and Netherlands Organization for Health Research and Development (ZonMw). A maximum of €69 million is available annually.
In June 2020, the first four projects received a grant to carry out their research (a total of €12.8 million). These studies of promising care were in the areas of chest pain, Ménière's disease, major depression, and atrial fibrillation.
The procedure for applying the ‘subsidy scheme for promising care’ is opened again, and it can be found here. Applications can be made until Tuesday, September 22, 2020. The full details in Dutch can be found here.
