Reimbursement summary for angioplasty of arteries of lower extremities

2023 DRG catalog (Fallpauschalen-Katalog) published in Germany

On November 24, 2022, the INeK (Institute for the Hospital Remuneration System) published the DRG catalog (Fallpauschalen-Katalog) with the list of DRGs and add-on reimbursement categories (ZEs) for 2023. Seven new DRGs and seven ZE categories (for drugs only, none for medical technologies) were added to the catalog in 2023.

Some examples of newly introduced DRGs are provided below:

  • F77A Complex treatment for pathogens requiring isolation in diseases and disorders of the circulatory system, COVID-19, virus proven;
  • F77B Complex treatment for pathogens requiring isolation in diseases and disorders of the circulatory system;
  • I26A Intensive care complex treatment >785/829/- effort points in diseases and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue;
  • I26B Intensive care complex treatment >588/552/552 effort points in diseases and disorders of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue or certain highly complex implants.
