Second update of the list of laboratory tests in Switzerland in 2018

The list of the laboratory tests is based on the Services Ordinance (Ordinanza sulle Prestazioni, OPre) of the September 29th, 1995. The list contains the services whose costs are covered by the obligatory healthcare insurance (assicurazione obbligatoria delle cure medico-sanitarie, AOMS). At the moment, the version of January 1, 2018, is in force.

However, the Federal Department of Home Affairs has updated the OPre, thus the list of laboratory tests as well. This update will come into force on 1st of September, 2018 and it will contain 1854 tests. This is a reduction of reimbursed tests by 77, compared to the version of 1st of January, 2018.
