NHSX Digital Health Technology Standard consultation open until April 22
NHSX is creating a Digital Health Technology Standard to enhance the way the NHS assesses technology for use by patients and staff. It is meant to help developers understand what is required of them, and simplify and streamline how health technologies are assessed and commissioned for use in the NHS. The consultation continues until 22 April 2020 Wednesday.
NHSX is developing an open, NHS-recognised Digital Health Technology Standard consolidating existing industry and health standards.
In partnership with stakeholders from across the digital health ecosystem, the draft standard was created. NHSX aims to gain feedback from a broader spectrum of voices involved in digital health, including developers, doctors, councilors, and patient groups, to ensure that it is effective, ambitious, and realistic.
NHSX is seeking views on the proposed standard until Wednesday, 22 April 2020, at 11.59 pm. The feedback that will be received will directly contribute to the development of the standard. It will be published in Summer 2020, after which it will be reviewed and updated annually.
The Draft Standard can be found here. See the full details here.
