NHS Innovation Accelerator innovations selected as part of Health Data Research UK Sandbox
Outcomes Based Healthcare and My Diabetes My Way have been selected as Health Data Research UK (HDRUK) Sandbox projects.
The Sandbox program provides an environment for virtual testing of products, services, innovations, and knowledge that require access to large scale data to improve the health of patients and the population. The Sandbox will provide test cases for a government initiative, delivered by Health Data Research UK, to transform access to the UK’s health data – safely and securely – for research that could pioneer new and faster treatments for patients and find new cures for diseases. Seven test use cases were selected to participate.
Outcomes Based Healthcare is a population health analytics platform that measures ‘true’ health outcomes in near real-time. Fellow Rupert Dunbar-Rees was selected to join the NIA in 2016.
My Diabetes My Way was selected as an NIA innovation in 2017. It is a low-cost, scalable, comprehensive online self-management platform for people with diabetes.
