NHS England and NHS Improvement now come together to act as a single organization

Starting April 1, 2019, NHS England opens in a new window, and NHS Improvement comes together to act as a single organization.

The aim is to support the NHS better and help improve care for patients.

As local health systems work more closely together, the same needs to happen at a national level to achieve the vision of care set out in the NHS Long Term Plan. 2019/20 will be a transitional year as it will be implemented the new ways of working. It is planned to have one website, but not quite yet, in the meantime, you continue to use existing sites.
