New material codes for middle ear implants were added to the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices
New material codes and related conditions of reimbursement for middle ear implants were added to the List of reimbursable devices of the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI-RIZIV) in August 2020.
The following devices will be reimbursed on the basis of individual price (tariff determined individually for each brand name) when registered on the nominative lists (31304, 31305, 31306, 31307, 31308):
- 181274 - 181285 “Implantable part of an active middle ear implant, in the case of perceptual hearing loss” with a maximum tariff of €9,369.63
- 181296 - 181300 “Implantable part of an active middle ear implant, in the case of mixed hearing loss” with a maximum tariff of €9,369.63
- 181311 - 181322 “Implantable part of an active middle ear implant, in the case of conductive hearing loss” with a maximum tariff of €9,369.63
- 181333 - 181344 “Speech processor of an active middle ear implant” with a maximum tariff of €1
- 181370 - 181381 “Anticipated replacement of the part to be implanted of an active middle ear implant” with a maximum tariff of €5,858.61
There are specific conditions of reimbursement, provided in paragraph C-§09 of the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices.
The following device will be not reimbursed with a generic tariff, but reimbursed when registered on the nominative list (35002):
- 181355 - 181366 “Anticipated replacement of the speech processor of an active middle ear implant” with a tariff of €2,384.21
- There are specific conditions of reimbursement, provided in paragraph C-§09 of the List of reimbursable implants and medical devices
