Reimbursement / Health Policy Analyst
MTRC, a leading boutique Med Tech market access consultancy in Europe, is looking for a highly motivated professional with a strong interest in healthcare system organization and financing to join our Reimbursement Group as a Reimbursement / Health Policy Analyst.
MTRC has 22 full-time employees and multiple part-time consultants. Offices are located in the UK (HEOR), Spain (Market Access) and Bulgaria (Billing and Contracting). Most of the employees are home-based. MTRC provides support to large Med Tech corporations (80% of the business) and SMEs (20% of the business) in the fields of market access analysis and strategy, Evidence Synthesis (value dossiers and literature reviews, reimbursement and HTA submissions), and Health Economics. MTRC provides regular support to 19 out of the top 30 global medical device companies.
In this role, you will contribute to market access strategy projects for medical devices, in vitro diagnostics (IVDs), and digital health technologies. You will work alongside a world-class team with deep expertise in healthcare financing mechanisms, reimbursement pathways, payer and decision-maker landscapes, and health technology assessment (HTA).
Our expertise translates into pragmatic, evidence-based, and holistic market access strategies that help our clients successfully navigate complex healthcare systems.
Responsibilities
A typical market access strategy project addresses questions such as:
- What are the key market access barriers for a given medical technology?
- What short-, mid-, and long-term strategies can overcome these barriers?
- What evidence and analyses support these recommendations?
- What are the key steps required for successful execution?
- Which stakeholders are involved, and what are the data requirements, timelines, and milestones?
The Reimbursement / Health Policy Analyst role at MTRC is fully dedicated to developing market access strategies using world-class proprietary methodologies. Upon joining, you will receive comprehensive training and ongoing support from experienced Analysts, Consultants, and company leadership and will be able to contribute to further development of the approaches yourself.
You will:
- Develop market access strategies for medical devices, IVDs, and digital health technologies
- Curate and maintain MTRC guidance materials and databases on market access pathways
- Develop and update market access overviews across European countries
- Contribute to the continuous development of MTRC’s knowledge management framework
The position is home-based (Europe only).
Requirements
- Relevant academic background (e.g., health policy, healthcare administration, medicine, health economics)
- Professional experience in health policy, market access, reimbursement or health economics
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience in medical technology companies is a plus
- Peer-reviewed publications are an advantage
