Director of Market Access and HEOR (full-time, remote)
MTRC, a leading boutique Med Tech market access consultancy in Europe, is looking for a Director of Market Access and HEOR.
MTRC has 20 full-time employees and multiple part-time consultants. Offices are located in the UK (HEOR), Spain (Market Access), and Bulgaria (Billing and Contracting). Most of the employees are home-based.
MTRC provides support to large Med Tech corporations (90% of the business) and SMEs (10%) in:
- Market access analysis and strategy
- Evidence synthesis (value dossiers, literature reviews, reimbursement and HTA submissions)
- Health economics
MTRC provides regular support to 19 out of the top 30 global medical device companies.
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong understanding of market access and HTA processes in Europe, at both:
- Micro level – technical details, methods and standards
- Macro level – overall market access landscape and client needs
The ideal candidate will have solid experience in the Med Tech or pharma industry or in life science consulting.
The position is home-based (Europe only) and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer.
Compensation includes a fixed salary plus quarterly and annual bonuses.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide supervision and guidance to the team on projects, including:
- Support with project scope definition
- Alignment during project execution
- Ensuring that project outputs address clients’ key questions
- Review and approval of project deliverables before submission - Supervise or lead regular communication with clients about ongoing projects (email and teleconferences)
- Present project results during client teleconferences
- Lead calls with prospective clients; supervise and approve commercial proposals
- Coordinate the selection and management of external vendors to support project delivery during peaks in workload
Promote and ensure implementation of good project management practices
Requirements:
- >7 years’ experience in Med Tech, Pharma or life science consulting in the fields of market access, reimbursement, and/or health economics
- Hands-on practical experience in health economics modeling and literature reviews / value dossiers
- In-depth understanding of market access for medical devices in Europe will be an advantage
- Peer-reviewed publications will be an advantage
- Medical background will be an advantage
- Knowledge of additional European languages (beyond English) will be an advantage
- Structured approach to verbal and written communication
- Good emotional intellect to ensure smooth communication internally and externally
