Tariffs for medical telemonitoring activity for patients with defibrillators and cardiac pacemakers released in France

On February 28, 2024, the Ministry of Labor, Health, and Solidarity published an Order in the Official Journal of the French Republic setting the tariffs for the medical telemonitoring activities for patients with defibrillators or cardiac pacemakers.

The half-yearly tariff for the distributor of digital medical devices is set at €550 per patient, including tax, for the first 4,999 patients. The tariff is reduced depending on the number of patients involved in telemonitoring. The tariffs are revised every six months and adjusted according to patient quantities. In the case of monthly billing, the tariff can be adjusted proportionally.

Effective until October 1, 2024, the half-yearly tariff for the distributor of digital medical devices will be €850, including tax. From October 1, 2024, it may be reduced by 10% every six months for the devices already registered on the List of reimbursable products and services (LPPR) before that date, respectively. This reduction is based on the patients' expected or actual use of the remote monitoring service. The rule will apply until June 30, 2025.

The published Order also determined the operator's (healthcare professionals delivering the service) monthly tariff of €11.
